Defect Summary:
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: 600 CC AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR BRACKET. THE BRACKET THAT SECURES THE BELT TENSIONING DEVICE TO THE COMPRESSOR CAN FAIL. Consequence Summary:
BRACKET FAILURE CAN CAUSE THE COMPRESSOR TO PIVOT TOWARDS THE VEHICLE ENGINE, POSSIBLY CAUSING DAMAGE TO CRITICAL ENGINE COMPONENTS, INCLUDING FUEL LINES. Corrective Summary:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THESE BRACKETS WITH MODIFIED BRACKETS. Recall Notes:
