Defect Summary:
NEW CLOR HID KITS FOR USE ON PASSENGER VEHICLES. THE LAMPS IN THESE KITS DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE ELECTRICAL AND DEMENTIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

Consequence Summary:
LAMPS MAY PRODUCE EXCESS GLARE TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

Corrective Summary:
NEW CLOR WILL NOTIFY ITS CUSTOMERS AND WIL REPURCHASE OR OFFER A REFUND FOR THE NONCOMPLIANT HID KITS. THE RECALL BEGAN AUGUST 27, 2004. OWNERS WHO DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT NEW CLOR AT 818-363-5392.
