THE QUICK RELEASE CHIN STRAP FAILED TO MEET THE RETENTION REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 218, MOTORCYCLE HELMETS. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: THE INABILITY FOR THE HELMET TO REMAIN ON THE MOTORCYCLIST DURING AN ACCIDENT INCREASES THE POSSIBILITY OF SERIOUS HEAD INJURIES. Corrective Summary:
HELMETS WILL BE INSPECTED AND REPAIRED TO CONFORM WITH FMVSS NO. 218. Recall Notes:
