Defect Summary:
EVS, Ltd. (EVS) is recalling certain EVS emergency vehicle seats, model numbers 1880, 1870, 1780, 1770, 1740, 1750, 1800, 1850, 1900, and 2000. The affected seats are equipped with Dometic/Atwood slide tracks that may not properly engage, allowing seats to move in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems," and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages." Consequence Summary:
If the seat moves in the event of a crash, the seat occupant would be at an increased risk of injury. Corrective Summary:
The remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact EVS customer service at 1-800-364-3218. Recall Notes:
