Defect Summary:
CERTAIN DAYTONA SKULL CAP HELMETS, SIZES XS-XXL, MANUFACTURED DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2006. THESE HELMETS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE WET RETENTION TEST AS REQUIRED BY FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 218, MOTORCYCLE HELMETS.

Consequence Summary:
IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE CHIN STRAP MAY COME UNDONE IF EXPOSED TO WET CONDITIONS.

Corrective Summary:
DAYTONA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPAIR THE HELMETS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 12, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DAYTONA HELMETS CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 386-255-3505.
