Defect Summary:
Airtex Products, LP (Airtex) is recalling certain fuel pumps model number E3591M sold bewteen June 10, 2013, and August 16, 2013. The fuel pumps are made for certain General Motors vehicles, including the Chevrolet Malibu (2004 to 2008), Pontiac G6 (2005 to 2008), and Saturn Aura (2007 and 2008). The fuel pump has an electrical connector which may not properly seal.

Consequence Summary:
The lack of seal may allow fuel to escape, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Summary:
Airtex will notify owners and will replace the fuel pumps, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on, or about, September 6, 2013. Owners may contact Airtex at 1-800-880-3056.
