THE AIR CONDITIONERS ON SOME VEHICLES CONTAIN BLOWER MOTOR RESISTORS THAT MAY CAUSE OVERHEATING OF THE HOUSING MATERIAL. Corrective Summary:
DEALER WILL REPLACE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTORS WITH THERMALLY PROTECTED FUSE-LINK RESISTORS, WITHOUT CHARGE. Recall Notes:
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLE.SYSTEM: AIR CONDTITIONING; BLOWER MOTOR RESISTORS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: THIS COULD LEAD TO A VEHICLE FIRE AND PERSONAL INJURYTO PASSENGERS.NOTE: OVERHEATING AND FIRE IS MOST LIKELY TO OCCUR WHILE THE VEHICLE IS EITHERSTATIONARY OR MOVING AND THE BLOWER SWITCH IS IN EITHER THE LOW OR MEDIUM ONE(1) POSITION.
