SLOT IN STEERING DRAG LINK TO ALLOW FOR CLAMPING OF THE BALL JOINT MAY NOT BE FULLY CLOSED BY THE BALL JOINT THREAD.

Consequence Summary:
WATER MAY ENTER THE DRAG LINK AND RESULT IN CORROSIONWHICH LOWERS STRENGTH OF DRAG LINK MAKING IT SUBJECT TO FRACTURE.

Corrective Summary:
REPLACE DRAG LINK IF OPENING EXIST; ALSO, THREADED STUD OF BALL JOINT HAS BEEN EXTENDED FOR COMPLETE CLOSURE OF THE SLOT.

Defect Summary:
THE DEFECT IS IN THE WHEEL RIM SIDE RING. THE WHEEL IS MADE UP OF A DISC AND RIM ASSEMBLY, SIDE RING AND LOCK RING. THE SIDE RING MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY SIZED WITH RESPECT TO THE OTHER COMPONENTS.

Corrective Summary:
ALL WHEELS INCLUDING SPARE WILL BE INSPECTED. THE SIDE RING OR THE COMPLETE RIM WILL BE REPLACED, AS NECESSARY.

Recall Notes:
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRUCKS.SYSTEM: SUSPENSION; WHEEL RIM SIDE RING.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: DUE TO THE IMPROPER SIZE OF THE SIDE RING, IT MAY SLIPOFF DURING VEHICLE OPERATION. THIS COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT, PERSONALINJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE. THIS DAMAGE WOULD RESULT FROM LOSS OF THE RIMPIECES.
