THE INCORRECT STEERING ARM MAY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IN PRODUCTION. THE LOCATION OF THIS STEERING ARM CAN CAUSE AN INCREASED BEND IN THE LOWER DRAG LINK, OR POSSIBLY RUPTURE THE BALL STUD. Corrective Summary:
THE DEALER WILL REPLACE DEFECTIVE STEERING ARMS WITH NEW ONES WITHOUT CHARGE TO OWNERS. Recall Notes:
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRUCKS.SYSTEM: STEERING SYSTEM; STEERING ARM.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: SUCH A FAILURE COULD OCCUR WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING TO THEDRIVER, RESULTING IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND, POSSIBLY, A VEHICLEACCIDENT.
