COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa. February 12, 2009 - RWFR, Inc. of Council Bluffs, Iowa is recalling 4 of its products made with peanut butter. They are as follows: Pre Portion Monster Cookie Dough Drop, Pre Portion Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Drop, Monster Cookie Dough 3 lb. Tub, and Peanut Butter Cookie Dough 3 lb. Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

The products that are recalled are the Red Wheel Brand sold in South Dakota, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, Florida and Oklahoma through fundraising programs between the months of September 2008 through December 2008.
