Atlanta, GA -- February 19, 2009 --- As a result of the expansion of the Salmonella recall of products manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America, Country Home Bakers of Atlanta, Georgia is initiating a nation-wide recall of expired peanut butter cookie dough because of possible health risks.

Salmonella is an organism, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea vomiting and abdominal pain.
