FoodScience Corporation of Essex Junction, Vermont 05452 is voluntarily recalling a total of approximately 1,250 bottles of its Children's Multi Vitamins.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered during the revising of product labels for reprint, that there was an error on the labels' suggested use recommendation. The label currently indicates a suggested use of 1 chewable tablet for ages 3-5 and 2-3 chewable tablets for ages 6-12. The label should read ages 4-16 take 1 chewable tablet daily.

This product, when consumed as directed, could pose a risk to occur if taken for an extended period of time, but the likelihood is remote.

The product is marketed under the following brands.

The product is packaged in white bottles with a white child resistant bottle cap. The lot number is stamped vertically to the right side of the supplement fact panel on each label

These products were distributed throughout the United States and in Denmark, Kenya and New Zealand to retail stores, mail order companies, doctors and by direct delivery from March 12, 2009 through June 3, 2009.

No illnesses or adverse events have been reported to date in connection with this product.
