The company is aware of three reports of the battery catching fire. One incident resulted in a consumer receiving minor burns.Description
The recalled product is a black lithium-poly 37 volt, 10Ah battery used in electric bicycles and propulsion systems. The battery is 8.75 inches x 5.75 inches x 3.25 inches. ?E+? appears on a label on the side of the battery. Recalled batteries have ?EMS# 11819-101? at the top right of the label with a serial number between 10001 and 10200. The batteries were sold on their own and as part of the E+ Flex Kits. The kits are complete propulsion systems.Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the battery packs and contact Electric Motion Systems, LLC. If you own a flex kit, you will receive a free battery pack installed on a new front wheel for your electric bike. If you purchased just the battery, Electric Motion Systems, LLC will provide you one of several choices including a new, free frame to fit with your existing electric propulsion system.Consumer Contact
