Problem/Hazard

The starter ring gear may crack, causing fragmentation and debris, which may act as a projectile at high speeds. A projectile could cause serious injury or death.

Injuries/Incidents

BRP has received one report of debris from the ring gear, causing a minor injury to the driver's hand.
