Problem/Hazard

Sharp edges on the stainless steel latch attached to the cooler can pose a laceration hazard to consumers.

Injuries/Incidents

Igloo Products has received eight reports of lacerations requiring stitches on the consumer’s legs or arms.

Description

This recall involves Marine Elite coolers sold in white with stainless steel latches. The coolers were sold in four sizes: 72 quart, 94 quart, 128 quart and 162 quart.

Remedy

Consumers should stop using the cooler immediately and contact Igloo Products Corp. to receive a free latch replacement kit.
