The recalled Corningware 4 Quart Slow Cooker (QVC item number K2585) has a removable white ceramic bowl with a glass lid and a plastic storage lid. The enclosure that surrounds the ceramic bowl is made of plastic. "CorningWare" is printed on the front of the unit underneath the digital display and control buttons. The model number, SC-40PL, is located on a silver label on the bottom of the base.Remedy

I called the Consumer Contact/Select Brands to report that I owned the Corningware Slow Cooker, Model #SC-40PL which was being recalled. He had me check the inside walls of the base. I was told that being there were rivets on the side walls, 2 on one side and 1 on the other, that my slow cooker was OK and was Post Recall. I am hoping this is correct info. I think I still will wonder if I can leave the house when it is in use.
