Recall Comments

I went thru all the BS from Nov 12 to May 2103.
Finally contacted DeVilbiss, supplier of the compressors. Got my parts in a week.
Can't see any difference in them. Maybe made of a higher temp rated material.
One thing that pisses me off even more is the motor label says made in china.

My first call to this so called service center was back in Nov. 2012 and told the parts would be here by the end of Dec. I called again in the middle of Jan. and was told they would be here by early Feb. I called today and was told the parts would be here by the end of March. I can't decide which is more frustrating, the liars that this service center hires, or the fact that none of these liars can speak English to any degree of understanding. I had to hang up twice on my call today because I could not understand the first two. I finally got one that was reasonably fluent. If this is the best Sears and De Vilbiss can do then I will never spend another dime on any of their products and will tell everyone I know to do the same. Shame on these two American companies. POU

Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: Craftsman recall
I finally received the 3 parts, one new and 2 identical to originals. I could not use new part due to the fin of the motor hitting the new inserted part. Three points are grinding when power is on with loud noise. I don't know how to deal with the recall part. The repair part is something wrong. They could not make the right part, so they gave me a wrong part with two repair parts. American made part is not operable. American manufacture could not produce any good part and good system. Outsource trend destroys American industry. Can we defend America? We may not have bright future any more. Regards, Shinzo Onishi

In November of 2012 I received a RECALL NOTICE on a Sears Craftsman 2.0 HP 33 GAL Air Compressor Model Number 919.167320, Manufactured on 200605-21. I called the RECALL Notice phone number provided and was told the part would be shipped on or about 12/15/2012. It is now March 4th, 2013 and I have no part, I haven't been able to use my compressor since November per instructions on your recall notice and I just got off the phone after being placed on hold for 32 minutes and 38 seconds only to find out my part will not be shipped until after the end of this month. THIS IS TOTAL BULLSHIT! I have a SEARS Credit Card Account and expect a phone call from SEARS in the next 24 hours regarding this total fiasco. If I do not hear from SEARS in that time I will close my account on Wednesday morning of this week and I will NEVER EVER buy another SEARS product for the rest of my expected long...long...long...life.

i orginally call 12/11/12 for replacement parts. your representative said they would ship shortly. call abount a little over a month to only receive a very disrepectful and nasty rep on the phone who would not give me a definite ship date. her only response was to reorder. other wise she said i should receive by end of feb. well, tomorrow is the end of feb and still no parts. have not been able to use product per your saftey instructions. looks like sears has become a shitty company to deal with. i am sure to purchase my tools elsewhere from now on.

My husband wanted me to note that he also had to wait on the line for over 1/2 hour both times he called!

My husband called and was told the part would be sent after 12/15/12, but he did not get it. He called again and was told he'd get it in January. It did not come. He finally went to Sears; they called and the part was supposed to be sent 2/12. It's 2/18 now and we STILL don't have it. Also, he can't USE the air compressor per your instructions. Pretty upsetting. Are you sending these out or not? It appears our next step is to go to the Better Business Bureau.

I've tried to call this number several times. Are you that busy? I've stayed on the line for several minutes. What's going on??? Looks like a site to email you the information would have been easier.
